Copperbelt University

The Copperbelt University is a public university of choice established through an Act of Parliament No. 19 of 1987. Based 15km away from the Central Business District of the City of Kitwe, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia, the Main Campus of the University is located in the suburban area, within reach of the shopping and recreational facilities. The University currently operates from four campuses: Jambo Drive Main Campus, Parklands Campus, Ndola Campus and Kapasa Makasa Campus. With a student population of about 10,000 students, the University provides teaching and learning, Research and Consultancy, and Public Service. These are done through its 10 faculties namely School of Mines and Mineral Sciences, School of Engineering, School of the Built Environment, School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, School of Business, School of Natural Resources, School of Medicine, School of Graduate Studies, Directorate of Distance Education and Open Learning, and Dag Hammarskjöld Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies. Programmes on offer range from Diploma, undergraduate to Doctorate and are taught through part-time, Fulltime and Distance modes.
