Centre for Development of Telematics

Founded on 24th of August 1984 by the Govt. of India as India's telecom technology development centre, C-DOT pioneered work in bringing about a telecom revolution in the country and is well known for its great contributions to telecommunications in India especially rural telephony. C-DOT over the years has evolved into a full-fledged telecom R&D institution that has capabilities to undertake large scale telecom technologies development programmes. C-DOT's commitment to the cause of nation building continues with the development of products of national strategic importance. C-DOT as a torch bearer of indigenous telecom R&D develops latest technology products in areas like optical, switching, wireless, security, M2M/IoT, 5G, AI etc.
