Chance
One billion people are invisible to companies and to themselves. They either have no CV or their CV does not present the relevant certifications and/or working experiences that are often required for ...them to go through traditional filters set by most companies’ recruitment processes. Another billion people are semi-invisible : they are working right now, but don’t really know why they are in their current position, and may not always be satisfied, thus neither performant nor fulfilled. These invisible or semi-invisible talents account for 2/3 of the world’s active population. Chance wants to reveal the invisibles. Our vision is a world in which no one is invisible anymore, and everybody can meritocratically valorize who he/she is. Most of the first billion invisibles may certainly lack certain important skills, that could have been acquired through education. In almost every country in the world, everybody blames their educational system, and several talented people in governments, private organizations and NGOs are working hard to make it better in the future. However, today, if you did not get quality education in your first 16 years, there is no magic solution that could possibly turn you in a few months into a fulfilled person and a performing professional in complex job positions. You jump from one short term job to the other, because you need money in the short term, and work is often everything but a delight for you. Education by itself is actually not the solution. The world changes at a fast pace. 25% of the job positions of 2025 do not even exist today. Initial education alone won’t suffice anymore for people to perform on the long-run in the professional world. Life-long orientation and learning becomes a must. What if the companies could actually become the main actors of Human Development? What if companies were the ones to give everyone a Chance? Our mission is to empower the invisibles, by giving them a Chance.
