It started as a captive insurance company insuring risks of members within a group. The company later opened up to members of the public. Eventually the ownership of Charter Insurance was taken over by a new team of visionary investors in late 2009. he shareholders' vision is to make Charter the most preferred insurance company in Malawi offering exceptional service with care.
