The David Arthur Foundation's mission is to create communities that solve social problems requiring a new level of collaboration and integration among institutions. In keeping with Chiefofstaff.com's service, we aim to build, strengthen and develop knowledge, organizations, and networks. While these networks include governments and philanthropy, our focus is also on appropriate profit generation to enhance sustainability. The Foundation's first priority is to support and promote the development of exemplary adult autistic residential communities that provide the highest quality of life for autistic adults as well as nurture an expanded community of family, caregivers, and friends of autistic adults. We seek to identify and learn from best practices of visionary leaders and organizjations on the frontlines of adult autism care in order to build, strengthen, and develop knowledge, organizations and networks. One of the first initiatives of the David Arthur Foundation was the establishment of Manhattan’s first special hockey team â€" the Central Park North Stars â€" a member of the American Special Hockey Association. The team exemplifies the values of our mission by including children and adults in a great sporting opportunity that improves quality of life through an integrated community at Central Park’s Lasker Rink hockey center.
