Children's Medicine

Children's Medicine, P.C. was established in 1976 by Jan Fitzgerald-Soapes, MD and Liz Latham, MD in College Park, Georgia. We moved to Gwinnett County in 1979. After Dr. Latham retired, Dr. Soapes was joined by Jennifer Smart, MD and J. Vincent Vigil, MD in 1987 and 1988 respectively. Within the last decade the practice has grown to include partner physicians Renee Renfus, MD, Elliot Feit, MD, as well as associates Sandy Boyles, CPNP, Nadine Gordon, MD, Elaine Taylor, CPNP. In March 2013 we welcome the newest physician on our staff, Dr. Stephanie Corn, MD. In June 2013 we welcomed our newest nurse practitioner to our staff, Kristen Hass, CPNP. Our Buford location was established in 1997 and moved into its current office space in 2002. A new location, in Suwanee, opened in the summer of 2008. All of our physicians and nurse practitioners are certified by their respective boards, and follow the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The physicians all have qualified and have hospital privileges at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). Although we have admitting privileges at CHOA, we are an office based practice. If your child needs hospital admission, our relationship with CHOA allows us to easily arrange admission with the hospital based pediatricians at CHOA.
