In 2000, Chimera's founders successful entrepreneurs with both passion and talent for stock market trading joined forces to form a trading firm that embodied their unique management, trading and training philosophy. What was originally seen as an opportunity to endow friends and family with the necessary tools (knowledge and capital) for successful stock market trading, rapidly became something much larger. A few years later, out of one of the deepest bear markets in history, Chimera both persevered and excelled in its mission. Today, Chimera's trading floor is filled with top-notch college graduates from all over the United States and abroad who excel in the fast-paced, collaborative and lucrative environment that is Chimera Securities. Specializing in exchange listed US equities, Chimeras traders continually formulate and implement strategies covering many diverse areas of trading. They borrow, in part, from longer-term strategies such as swing trading, momentum trading, and, in lesser part, from technical analysis. Fundamental analysis is neither used nor taught.
