The Richardson House and Lizzie's Trail Inn museums are owned by the City of Sierra Madre and operated by the Sierra Madre Historical Preservation Society under a joint agreement. In 1974, the Society began restoring the Richardson House in Mount Wilson Trail Park and opened it to the public as a museum and repository of historical artifacts in 1976. The opening celebration is free and open to the public. It will take place Saturday, September 28, 2013: 10 am at Sierra Madre Public Library and 11 am at Richardson House.
