Clevedon School
We are a co-educational, 11-18 vertically integrated comprehensive school and we offer an aspirational learning environment in the Swiss Valley of Clevedon. Indeed, our high aspirations are evidenced in the national recognition we have been awarded for the most improved exam results between 2007 and 2010. Clevedon School puts students at the centre of everything we do. This is a school that embraces all our students have to offer and provides them with the opportunities and responsibility to drive school improvement forward. Clevedon School was judged as 'Outstanding' in the last Ofsted inspection. The first line of the report demonstrates the positive focus on students: "Clevedon is an outstanding school which provides excellent opportunities for students to thrive and develop highly effective skills and aptitudes." To ensure the school can continue to provide a first class education for all students, the Governors approved the conversion to Academy status in February 2012. The school will be utilising the freedoms associated with academy status to ensure continued improvement, innovation and community based learning for students and staff at the school. We are very excited about the implementation of mobile technology in the school and the benefits that this will bring to learning. Our school is based upon traditional values with a forward thinking vision. Every member of the community is encouraged to 'belong' through a sense of contribution, responsibility, ownership and confidence which is seen in the pride students have for their school.
