Colorado Mountain Brewery

Colorado Mountain Brewery (CMB) is an independent brewpub restaurant founded in 2010. While the restaurant is rooted in craft beer creation, the concept is rather new in the brewpub genre. CMB is committed to creating an upscale, experiential atmosphere focusing on Colorado cuisine. Our target audience includes business men/women, evening restaurant patrons, families and out of town guests looking for a "true" Colorado experience. CMB currently has two locations, both in Colorado Springs. The first restaurant is in the InterQuest Marketplace complex off of Interquest Pkwy (I25 exit 153). Sitting next to the Hollywood movie theaters, the restaurant is directly across the interstate from the USAFA's Falcon Stadium. With two large patios, private dining and spectacular views of the front range, CMB encompasses the essence of Colorado and the overall experience is "The True Taste Of Colorado." Our second location opened in the fall of 2012. Located in the historic Roundhouse building, on the corner of 21st St and Hwy 24, CMB is proud to be only the third tenet in the building's 125 year history! The Roundhouse was originally built in 1887 for the Colorado Midland Railway where it served as a light maintenance and storage facility. The railway was the first standard gauge railroad built over the Continental Divide in Colorado. It ran from Colorado Springs to Leadville and through the divide at Hagerman Pass to Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction. Wall hangings at the Roundhouse include copies of a railroad mural and photos of train passengers from the Pikes Peak Historical Society. A heavy railroad car bell in the bar area is on loan from the Pikes Peak Historical Street Railway Foundation. In 1955, the Roundhouse was sold to the world-famous Van Briggle Pottery. Many in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area still call the Roundhouse the "old-Van Briggle building. Then in 2009, the current owners (Griffis/Blessing) purchased and remodeled the building. The father and son team of Richard "Dick" Koons and Timothy "Scott" Koons are CMB's founders and visionaries. Along with Frank Maggio and Reed Schotanus, Dick and Scott are majority company owners and oversee the daily management of CMB.
