COEM was founded in 1990 with the purpose of providing services of Engineering, Mounting and Maintenance of industrial facilities in the areas of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control. In 1991 starts its activity with a maintenance contract for electrical and instrumentation units of Off-Sites, Expedition and Marine Terminal of Porto Refinery PETROGAL (GALP). In 1991 establishes a partnership with ROSEMOUNT for the assistance and configuration of RS3 Distributed Control Systems (DCS). In 1992 expand its activity to the development of Engineering Project and Execution of Works. In 1996 wins a three years contract for the maintenance of factories Base Oils, Gasoline, Aromatics and Refinery Utilities Harbor PETROGAL (GALP). As a result of a strong investment in human and material resources over the years, COEM has been solidifying its business, its experience and its knowledge, thus gaining the trust of its customers. In 2008 starts expanding its operations in Angola. In 2010 celebrates 20 years of sustained activity, being proud of its career and with an eye towards the future.
