COGNEO implements best practices in internal operations with the goal of achieving maximum energy efficiency and resource sustainability. 1 We all work from our homes. It saves time and eliminates the fuel normally used for commuting. Traditional overhead costs and energy consumption associated with an office space are also eliminated, allowing us to price our work more competitively. 2 We drink good old fashioned home-filtered water. It's healthy and avoids the waste of cans and plastic containers. Whenever we do buy containers we aim for recycleable kinds, and we always recycle. 3 Most of us are either vegetarian-leaning or vegan. These kinds of diets help to keep us sharp and maintain a far smaller carbon footprint. Buying locally grown produce whenever possible also saves energy. 4 We make annual contributions to organizations like Friends of the Earth and the Environmental Defense Fund. 5 Pro-bono work for local not for profit green organizations is an ongoing component of our workload. And we're always ready to diversify our project list by engaging with other green-oriented companies. The people of our world will continue to excell and prosper.
