Colcord Public Schools

Colcord Public Schools is committed to following Oklahoma State Law in all cases relative to the administration of our school program. Included in this pledge is our commitment to follow the law as it relates to Oklahoma's curriculum standards. With the repeal of the Common Core Standards signed into law by Governor Mary Fallin in June, Oklahoma schools are mandated by law to revert to 2010 standards which are the Oklahoma PASS standards. PASS, which stands for Priority Academic Student Skills were deemed robust by the Fordham Institute and have been seen as college and career ready by the United States Department of Education. We believe these standards will prove to educate our students well and have them prepared to succeed in college or careers as that was the case for several years prior to the change proposed in 2010. Colcord teachers and administrators will work diligently to make certain we transition to PASS standards effective with the 2014-2015 school year. Colcord Public Schools remains committed to educating the students entrusted to us as effectively as possible and with the cooperation of parents and students we are confident we can maintain the success we always strive to achieve.
