Colegio Base, founded in 1962, is a private, family-owned, independent Spanish school outside the state direct-grant system. The school provides a quality education at all levels from the nursery years through infants, primary and the secondary level, and up to the pre-university years of Baccalaureate, finishing at 18 years of age There are approximately 920 pupils registered in total. The main school is located on a campus on the outskirts of Madrid in the residential area of La Moraleja housing Primary and Secondary whilst there are two locations for Pre-school, one on the north side of the city and the other in close proximity to the main school in La Moraleja. The school mission is to give its pupils an education within the framework of an environment that provides security and confidence in order to for them to develop as healthy, respectful and responsible people who are capable of designing their own future paths and their careers on the basis of a solid intellectual and academic foundation that provides the necessary tools for them to become successful and active members of a continually- changing global society.
