Community Phone is the only wireless phone provider based in Cambridge, MA and is known as the community phone company. Community Phone doesn't sell customer data to advertisers like AT&T, Verizon, or T-mobile, but instead puts on events/sessions at low-income community centers that promotes digital literacy (how to use a mouse, keyboard, email, google maps, etc). Most cell phone carriers are based on a retail model that necessitates up-selling to consumers. Whereas Community Phone is based on a service model in which customers are never sold unnecessary unlimited plans or expensive gadgets.
