Congress
Established in 1990, Congress Corporation is a leading company in the convention industry in Japan that handles events such as international conferences. It develops business throughout Japan and has seven offices from Sapporo to Okinawa. It has undertaken a wide range of business, including managing large-scale international conferences such as the G7 Ise-Shima Summit in 2016, the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit in 2008 and the IMF/World Bank annual meetings in 2012, as well as the management of academic meetings and production of corporate events. In addition, in the spring of 2013, it launched its own convention facility in Osaka, the Congrès Convention Center and is venturing into not only the intangible areas of business operations, but the tangible (facilities) areas as well. Though the hosting of this full-fledged exhibition is a new area for Congress Corporation, the company is doing its best to energize the new market.
