Consentz was founded in 2012 as a result of a simple observation that as a medical practitioner, I was spending vast amounts of time using paper and software systems that were simply not effective at helping my patients or helping me to grow my clinic. Some of my problems: Patients coming once, but only once Hours and hours spent uploading photos from a digital camera onto a computer Patients not knowing about the services the clinic offered As much time spent on administration as with patients Far too little time for creating opportunities for my business I felt that practitioners were not being served by the current systems, in a way that allowed them to really look after their patients and to grow their businesses. Meanwhile, Michael was working on corporate turnarounds and was frustrated by the shortage of good quality data on the performance of these businesses. As a former Chief Finance Officer for Cable & Wireless (Japan and Asia), he knew how essential data and reporting was for building a business. We wanted to solve key clinic admin problems and help create opportunities for clinics to grow, the essence of Consentz began to take shape. We wanted to make complex patient relationships simple, save time and money, and create many opportunities for practitioners and managers to grow their businesses.
