Conway Packing Services Ltd was formed in 1991 by a team of managers already employed in the industry who collectively had in excess of 200 year's hands-on experience. The company base lies within its own premises of some four acres within one mile of junction 2 of the M5 motorway. The premises have been modified to provide a bespoke packing station and operate as a seamless extension to its client's manufacturing operation. Covering an area in excess of 100,000ft² Conway Packing Services provide a single lift capacity of 48 tonnes, ideally suited to engineering industry, power industry and motor industry services. Temperature and humidity controlled environments are available, together with static-free and secure storage and packing areas. The company provides a comprehensive contract and export packing service, including freight forwarding services to the global marketplace. It is our firm belief that preparation is the key to any export packaging and freight service project. The earliest involvement of the export packer and freight forwarder is therefore keyto the overall success of export packing and freight service projects. For example, we have been instrumental in providing bar-coded labels for each component part of a major project to our clients, who has then required his supplier as a condition of his purchase contract, to attach the label with each item of supply. Parts were easily identified upon receipt at our works by scanning the label, and our client was aware of their arrival immediately from his bespoke packing service database maintained at our premises. This is a simple but highly effective control. We are committed to exploring new packaging materials, technical advancements and innovative procedures to provide the most cost effective packing service to our customers. Consequently, we have established our own in-house steel fabrication shop, which manufacturers reinforcing and lifting equipment to handle weights up to 200 tonnes in single lifts. Our skilled craftsmen are able to manufacture bespoke cartons from computer controlled carton manufacturing machinery and provide a fast track service in the event of urgent need. The company's success is recognised by its contract packing arrangements with the MOD and a number of its contracted suppliers. We are long term defence equipment packers and have introduced ISO 2859 inspection procedures to the management of this contract.
