Cummins College of Engineering for Women
Cummins College of Engineering for Women is one of the institutions supported by Cummins. Adhering to Maharshi Karve's ideology of empowering women through education, Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha's Cummins College of Engineering for Women, endeavors to provide higher education to the socially disadvantaged section i.e women. n the long journey of Cummins' association with CCEW since 1991, CIF has constantly provided financial backing to the institute. Beginning with financial aid towards construction of the college building, the association has further strengthened with Cummins' assistance towards making a new set up for Mechanical Engineering division, in line with AICTE requirements. In June 2007, a batch of 60 students started pursuing Mechanical Engineering. Other than the financial assistance, Cummins employee's partner, engage in activities like industry visit, reviewing syllabus, guest lectures etc.CIF has also committed to partially support CCEW's branch in Nagpur which would offer engineering degree in Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer & Information Technology streams and is expected start operations latest by Q III'09.
