Cutchins Programs

It is devoted to the notion that the best there is, is not good enough. The care of the kids and their families, together with the morale of practitioners, can be better supported with a collaborative community that shares cutting edge resources. This includes evidenced-based practice, practice based evidence, and multi-modal methods combining professional and community resources. This site grew from the work developed at Cutchins Programs for Children and Families and affiliated friends and consultants. At Cutchins one of our goals is to de-stigmatize mental health issues affecting youth and families and orient treatment around the needs of the families to support their children. We balance traditional approaches with innovative ones: systems and individuals; behavioral, psychodynamic, and traditional therapies with body based, creative, and alternative methods. We have particular expertise in working with trauma, biological emotionally sensitive youth and adoptive families. The Cutchins Care online website offers descriptions of some of our approaches, expert resources, trainings and workshops, and will soon offer videos, books and publications, and opportunities to collaborate with innovative, creative and caring minds.
