Dailey Foods was founded in 2004 by Chef Veronica Dailey who is the Plant-based Culinary Arts Instructor at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California, a graduate of the California Culinary Academy of San Francisco, and a former Food For Life Cooking Instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Chef Veronica has over 18 years professional culinary experience, including experience as resort chef, private chef, restaurant chef, food product developer, and culinary educator. She is passionate about bringing the plant-based diet into the mainstream and is doing so by educating foodservice institutions in how to cost-effectively and easily incorporate plant-based menu options for their customers. Chef Veronica specializes in allergen-friendly, plant-based vegan menu development. Dailey Foods hosts SLOVegan.com, EasyVeganMealPrep.com, and offers "Top 8 Allergen-friendly" foodservice mixes under the brand Heavenly Chia. In 2018, Chef Veronica Dailey was hired by Cuesta College to teach traditional culinary students how to prepare delicious and healthy plant-based menu items including breakfast, lunch, dinner and baked goods. The Cuesta College Culinary Arts Program is the first traditional culinary arts program in the nation to hire a dedicated plant-based instructor.
