DARTNet Institute is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that conducts research, supports collaboration among health care providers and organizations, and hosts data sets of health information for quality improvement and research. Their mission is to transform multi-sourced data into standardized, actionable health information that supports patient care, quality improvement, patient safety and health improvement, and collaborative learning and research. DARTNet's vision for the future is to become a robust health information source that empowers health care professionals and researchers to transform "what we know into what we do." The DARTNet collaboration includes more than 800 healthcare organizations, 13 academic medical centers, 3000 clinicians, extensive IT professionals and electronic health record repositories. This federated network provides access to reliable, secure databases for improving quality and fostering research while bettering patient outcomes and medical practices.
