We supply the public administration with IT: Whether data center, terminals, networks or specialized software - we provide everything the administration needs to work. In addition, we offer comprehensive services to the public sector. Our offer ranges from IT procurement and training to project management and consulting. We are the full service provider of the administration. Our company is unique in Germany. Six federal states and a municipal IT network are our carriers. We work for the state administrations of Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein and Saxony-Anhalt, for the tax administrations of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Lower Saxony as well as for many municipalities in Schleswig-Holstein. We are a public corporation with headquarters in Altenholz near Kiel. We operate branches in Hamburg, Rostock, Bremen, Lüneburg, Magdeburg and Halle. Our company has 3,000 employees and achieved 2018 sales of 636 million euros. Dataport was created on 1 January 2004 by the merger of the data center Schleswig-Holstein (DZ-SH) with the State Office for Information Technology (LIT) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Senate Department for District Affairs.
