Datax was the first to introduce the mass market PC systems - then manufactured by the British AMSTRAD, quickly followed by the surging Mitac P1000 8086 based PC (1986!). The company was also the first local company to introduce to the market the then astonishing single speed (!) external flip top CD Reader manufactured by Philips! Last but not least, being the very first company to introduce on the local market the very first desktop LCD screens - a 14" model manufactured by Mitac. Recognised as the leading name in the information technology, Datax also supplies and supports a large and prestigious user base on the Island and was also awarded an 'approved supplier status' by the Maltese Government.
