D C Books is the leading publisher of children's books in India. An imprint of D C Books, Kairali Children's Book Trust is devoted wholly to children's literature. Spanning a spectrum of books from Malayalam classics, fiction, non-fiction, books of educational value to translations of outstanding children's works, we offer a rich catalogue for children of all ages. Following the footsteps of D C Kizhakemuri, the founder father of D C Books, we strive to draw children into the exciting and enlightening world of books through attractive and innovative child-friendly schemes like Vayanakoottam and VIP KIDS Book Club. Balapadam, a series of six books for preprimary and primary students, is one of the book series for children brought out by D C Books with the objective of inspiring their imagination and feeding their sense of wonder and ultimately nurturing them as book lovers. As a part of our social commitment, on World Book Day, April 23rd, we distribute free books to 25,000 children. We started this offer in the year 2000 and now this is an annual feature.
