Doncaster Deaf Trust
We are one of the oldest deaf schools in the UK, with a proud 185 year history. We provide a pupil-centred approach to education from the earliest years up to the age of 19. This can be extended into further education through Doncaster Communication Specialist College. The school is managed by Doncaster Deaf Trust and works in partnership with Doncaster Communication Specialist College and Little Learners Day Nursery. We offer a safe and nurturing environment in which children can learn and communicate effectively to achieve their goals. All pupils have a statement to meet their special educational needs. Pupils come from a number of local authorities. The school has a small residence, Dickson House, which is open to deaf children throughout the UK. Pupils join the school as the need arises - this can be at any time in their school career.
