Ms. Edwards has over a decade of experience in state and federal courts and is committed to helping each client with the divorce at any stage in the process. She has helped clients resolve cases involving child custody and child support, alimony and spousal support, division of marital assets, protecting separate property, modifying child custody orders, drafting separation agreements, drafting consent orders, and domestic violence. She has experience advising clients on the applicable laws and strategizing with the client to select the most appropriate path for that client after all of the pros and cons are discussed. The client's needs and goals are central to the strategy, negotiation, and selected course of action. Ms. Edwards has extensive experience in state and federal courts and in drafting complex legal agreements and memoranda. After law school, she clerked for Justice Robert Orr of the North Carolina Supreme Court and Judge Proctor Hug, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She was also a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and litigated cases while working as an Assistant Attorney General for the North Carolina Department of Justice and Assistant District Attorney for the District Attorney's Office for Alamance County, North Carolina. Ms. Edwards also taught law school at Campbell Law School and Golden Gate University School of Law.
