Demian Sellfors

Professionally, Demian Sellfors is the founder to a number of startup and growth-stage Internet and technology related businesses. Most recently Demian served as the Founder and CEO of (mt) Media Temple, Inc (a global cloud hosting service for creative professionals) until it was acquired by GoDaddy (the world's largest domain registrar). With an accomplished IT career, Demian has helped thousands of people, brands, and enterprises including Starbucks, Sony, Nike, Adobe, Techcrunch, and others succeed with the Internet and related open-source technology. Outspokenly, he is honored to have worked with a spirited team of business and technology innovators at Media Temple which earned a variety of awards including multiple-time Best Place to Work in Los Angeles, multiple-time Fastest Growing Company Inc 5000 winner, Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year nominee, and more. Demian is also the founder of (mt) Ventures, an early stage incubator division which produced a portfolio of companies. Reinvigorate (an early real-time analytics service) was acquired by Webtrends (a Portland based analytics firm). Virb (a creative social network later restructured to become a design focused website builder.) The division's first company was Vantageous (an advertising network) which acquired the creative communities of QBN.com and Newstoday.com and then restructured to become Krop.com - a service for finding high-quality creative professionals. Today Demian also serves as a mentor/advisor to a variety of other technology related startups. In 2010, Demian partnered with John Carey, Marc Dumont, and Cary Nordan of Triangle for the mission of building one of the largest cloud service providers in the world. Demian's first startup was Intergress Technologies (a digital business service provider) which was acquired by Media Temple - one of his first customers. After the two businesses were integrated Demian was appointed CEO. In earlier years, Demian joined the legendary Stan Winston as the studio's first CTO. Demian supported the creative and business efforts of several theatrical films and commercials. With the help of many brilliant people, Demian lead the design and operations of the overall IT systems supporting the practical effects in "Jurassic Park - The Lost World" and "Michael Jackson's - Ghosts" - the longest and most expensive music video ever produced. Demian grew up on the workbench of an Amiga 1000 and began his professional career in Los Angeles as a graphic designer in 1991.
