DeRev is an innovative startup founded in August 2012 by Roberto Esposito, a two-time Guinness World Record winner, blogger and expert of viral marketing. Vertis Venture and Withfounders invested 1,25 million euros to support DeRev, closing one of the most relevant early stage operations in Italy. The platform went online for the Italian market in February 2013, counting more than 100,000 pre-registrations to the landing page. On DeRev, more than 270,000 euros were pledged in two months to the the official Crowdfunding campaign to back the reconstruction of Città della Scienza. In April 2013, DeRev's independent daily column on America's Cup Napoli brought 80,000 visitors to the platform, generating 1,900,000 social media interactions.
