Our website is designed to provide you with important information about our school and serves as a window into some of the wonderful programs that we have to offer at DFHS. As a high-performing IB World School, we are dedicated to maximizing the potential of all students by providing a curriculum that promotes a global perspective and international mindedness. Our diverse curriculum and extracurricular activities provide students with the opportunity to build a strong academic foundation while allowing for the development of personal interests and creative expression. Students graduate from Dobbs Ferry High School prepared for success at the top universities in the nation or in any career path they choose to pursue. Our number one goal is for students to leave the building each day feeling that they have been challenged, engaged, and encouraged. In addition to having a well established and differentiated IB Diploma Program that all students access starting in grade 11, both the middle and high school are in the process of pursuing full authorization to the IB Middle Years Program (MYP). This program, coupled with elective programs in areas such as science research, computer science, film, and art, allows our students to further develop the necessary 21st century skills to be successful in college, the workforce, and beyond. Our work in this area is further enhanced by our 1:1 Chromebook program. In 2015-16, all students in grades 9-11 have a Chromebook and are also given the option to bring their own device to support their learning. It also goes without saying that one of the most crucial elements of student success is parent involvement. Our parents and community organizations play an integral role in the success of our school and are one of the many reasons why the high school is such a special place. All of these outlets provide information on the latest happenings at our school and on the great work of our students and staff.
