Difco was originally founded in Ballintubber in the 1980's. Known then as Herbst Difco, it was the market leader in the production of sod peat machinery. As sole distributer for the UK in the 80's and 90's, we went on to purchase the Difco company and continue its legacy of manufacturing high quality peat extraction machinery. Since then, the company has continued to grow and develop a wide range of high quality, sod and milled peat extraction machinery and customised builds including, animal waste briquette machines and soil screeners. Our dedicated research and design team have spent many years refining and improving, resulting in premium products which can be utilised in the sod, milled and horticultural peat, turf and turve industries. We have a fully equipped precision engineering facility, where our highly skilled engineers manufacture the majority of our components in house, meaning that we have the ability to produce our machines from beginning to completion, ensuring that our products provide years of trouble free operation for our customers. All our machines conform to the strictest quality checks, with every machine being run, tested and calibrated before it leaves our factory.
