Discovery Americas focuses on profitable medium-sized companies in high-growth industries that enjoy sustainable competitive advantages. Target sectors include transportation, healthcare, education, retail, restaurants, leisure and other selected industries where we have developed substantial expertise. We currently manage two funds: Discovery Americas I (DAI), our first Mexico-dedicated private equity fund, is fully-invested in four portfolio companies and has made or attracted co-investments and financing in excess of $470 million. Discovery Americas II (DAII), a private equity fund launched in December 2009 that focuses on investment opportunities based on middle-income consumption-growth in Mexico.
