Drake Meats

Drake Meats is committed to providing our consumers with safe, traceable products. We run an auditable food safety program based on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) Food Safety Enhancement Program (FSEP) which includes a Prerequisite Program and HACCP principles. This allows us to have control over our system and provide the highest level of food safety and quality to our customers. At Drake Meats we monitor product quality on a daily basis to insure that our customers are getting the best product possible. Annual supplier audits are conducted to ensure that our suppliers are meeting our standards for food safety. It is policy that all of the meat and ingredients used at our facility undergoes ante mortem and post mortem inspection and must pass a final veterinary inspection when disease is suspected. Each animal that is brought to Drake Meats' abattoir for slaughter is inspected by a third party appointed by the Saskatchewan government. The inspection system used is the same inspection system as the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
