Drift Surf Shop

For more than two decades, Rob worked as a sales rep for the biggest brands in the global surf industry while surfing his way around the world, from Rhode Island to the north shore of Oahu, to Indonesia and West Africa. It was a crazy fun life, but eventually Rob felt the draw to stay put in Rhode Island and spend more time with his friends and family. He founded Drift as a way to share his stoke for and knowledge of all things surf at home in Rhode Island. Drift celebrates what's unique about surfing in Rhode Island- a place where the water is cold but the culture is relaxed and friendly. We aim to connect aspiring and experienced surfers alike with innovation, craftsmanship and creativity- the people and brands that are pushing the boundaries in surfing. At the shop, you'll find a thoughtfully curated selection of boards, surf gear and coastal apparel, much of it designed by Drift. We also like to feature the products of local creatives as much as possible, from painters and photographers to eco-candle makers. More than anything, we are here to both serve and create space for the surf community. Drop by Drift and you'll see that this is not just a surf shop but a place to find friendship and smiles.
