Dukes Lumber

Founded in 1962, Dukes Lumber, has been serving the Delmarva peninsula for over 50 years. Silas Dukes began his career in the industry during the 1950's, constructing agricultural buildings. He stored his building materials in the back yard of his home in Laurel, Delaware. Soon after, people were knocking on his door asking to purchase building materials from him. Silas' wife, Mae Dukes, would sell the lumber at a fair price. In 1962, Silas decided to build a small retail store in his back yard. Dukes Lumber flourished over the years and has seen four generations of the Dukes family. Today, Dukes Lumber takes pride in providing great service at a competitive price. Dukes Lumber provides everything from the first brick of the foundation to the last shingle of the roof to Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.
