Eden Pottery

Eden pottery is a small studio based pottery run by husband and wife team of Philip and Heather Walton. We are both Art College graduates (a long time ago now!), we set up Eden Pottery about 21 years ago when Phil arrived over to stay in Belfast from his native Yorkshire. We originally combined both gallery based work and terracotta garden pots, before moving into studio based tableware. We hand painted much of our early pottery, which we make here in our workshop, before moving onto decoration using sponges that are designed and cut by Phil. We are situated in a lovely part of Northern Ireland, the Ards Peninsula, our studio, shop and café are set in the countryside surrounded by fields, with Strangford Lough on one side and beaches and the seaside on the other. We live beside our studio with our two children, three dogs and a dozen hens in an old schoolhouse. We consider ourselves to be very fortunate to be able to work at something we enjoy and live the life we do.
