At the Education Partnership Trust (EPT) we are developing a portfolio of academies in the North West of England. With three academies already part of the trust, and a further two secondary academies set to join us in 2016, our vision is to create outstanding schools which transform learning, lives and communities. As part of our plans for growth, we are now seeking to appoint a Finance Director who shares our commitment to making a real difference to children's lives by improving education outcomes. You will become part of a forward-thinking and energetic team. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will have responsibility for developing the organisation's financial strategy and promoting best practice from a financial and business planning perspective. You will advise the Chief Executive and the Board on all financial matters in order to maximise the financial performance of the trust, ensuring compliance with the Government statutory and regulatory financial requirements. The successful candidate will hold a professional accountancy qualification. An understanding of the education sector with knowledge of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) will be viewed favourably, but not seen as essential. Working alongside the individual academies to encourage a consolidated approach to Finance, the successful candidate will have a direct impact on operations across the organisation.
