Educo International, Inc. (EDUCO) was established in 1985 with the primary objective of providing tools and services to integrate technology into the teaching of mathematics and the sciences. At the outset, EDUCO focused on providing high quality service through consulting and training. Since 1990, EDUCO has diversified to include the development and sale of textbooks and supporting software in mathematics and science courses in both English and Spanish. At present, EDUCO has published 20 textbooks targeted at students between the ages of 11 to 23, corresponding to the sixth grade up to the second year of college. These books have been adopted at several schools, colleges, and universities. EDUCO's founder understood well the changing nature of the educational needs of its customers and responded by migrating the knowledge embedded in its textbooks to an electronic medium. As a result of this pioneering effort, EDUCO has developed a complete set of electronic products including electronic lecture notes, tutorials, online testing and instructional management tools. These products constitute the EDUCO Learning System (ELS) which is available online in addition to its use on a local network or from CDs. Regardless of the medium of delivery, all of EDUCO's products represent the highest educational quality, incorporating a sound pedagogy together with state-of-the-art technology to meet the needs of its customers worldwide.
