Welcome to E.L. Wood Braiding Co., Inc. founded in 1995. We are a family owned and operated manufacturer of custom braided rope and cordage located in beautiful Upstate New York in the town of Marathon, just 25 miles south of Syracuse and 15 miles north of Binghamton. Since our beginning it has been our focus to make sure all of our products are made in the USA. We are proud to say they still are. E. L. Wood's resources are extensive and diversified. We specialize in developing and manufacturing custom products for industries and markets worldwide including: defense, aerospace, tactical - police and military, marine, pet / equine, and outdoor products for fishing, camping, hunting, and apparel. We use a wide array of fibers including Nylon, Polyester, Poly Propropylene, Kevlar, Spectra, Dyneema, Vectran, Technora, Teflon, and many more. Product sizes range in diameter from 1/16" to 1."
