Emam Asfaltos

EMAM made possible the arrival of paving asphalt to all the municipalities of the State of Amazonas, offering Asphalt Emulsion specially created to serve the North Region market. The shipment of the products to the State countryside is fully processed in its own port, which guarantees effective service to its customers. Extending its area of operation, EMAM opened its first branch in the city of Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais, in October 2002. OneA year later, in October 2003, the second branch was opened in Várzea Grande Industrial District, State of Mato Grosso, a pioneering venture in the production of asphalt emulsions in the region. In November 2004, another branch was inaugurated in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, to serve the entire Northeast Region of Brazil. In September 2005 the city of São José dos Campos, in the State of São Paulo, was chosen to receive EMAM's newest branch, and the Company became to operate in the largest consumer market in Brazil. In 2006 EMAM built a new industrial unit in the Ibirité, MG where a factory was built with state-of-the-art equipment and a laboratory for technological control and development of new products. In addition to conventional asphalts, the Company now offers to the consumer market asphalts with polymer, asphalts with rubber and additives to improve asphalt adhesion. In 2007 EMAM expanded its area of operation by opening a branch in Duque de Caxias, in the State of Rio de Janeiro and another branch in Candeias in the State of Bahia. In the same year, EMAM inaugurated a new, modern industrial unit with great productive capacity in Pacatuba in the State of Ceará. This factory has revolutionized the quality of asphalt emulsions commercialized throughout the northeastern region of Brazil. In 2008, the inauguration of the Araucária / PR subsidiary provided EMAM with a nationwide performance, reaching all regions of Brazil.
