Emergent is a pioneering student organization that high-lights the technical, ethical and commercial aspects of data science problems among the student population of the KU Leuven. The direct aim is... to provide workshops and hands-on experience to both technical and non-technical students, to tackle certain aspects of the data science process. The broader aim is to prepare students, in an interdisciplinary environment and context, for tomorrow’s complex problems. Our flagship event is the Data 4 Good challenge, a full day filled with workshops focused on data science, strategy and pitching followed by a challenge based on current social responsibility trends. This event attracts up to 180 high potential students ready to compete and learn from each other. Combining insights is the key to win and go home with our awesome prizes.
