Emerging Digital Concepts (EDC) was founded in 1997 as the vision of two, former IBM systems engineers. One of their goals was to form an engineering and consulting services company aimed at delivering highly sought after, cutting-edge engineering skills, architectural insights, and product development expertise. EDC provides on-demand and contract model services with the flexibility and nimbleness that cannot be achieved by involving huge integrators or companies that have outgrown their initial visions. Today, EDC is a leading provider of IT expertise on demand. The EDC principal staff represents over 40 years of combined software and systems engineering experience for commercial, private, government, and non-profit organizations. Contributions include the full life-cycle product development and support; large-scale and small-scale systems integration, and creating sound, IT infrastructures and service architectures for enterprise platforms. EDC has been consulted by several companies for guidance on technology thrusts, and the use of best practice methodologies. A major strength is the ability to build ground-breaking, first-of-kind systems to meet requirements on a new concept or a new market segment.
