Engineering and Metal Fabrication
EMF, Inc. (Engineering and Metal Fabrication or EMF) was established in 1964, right in the heart of the space coast, and about 15 miles from Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral. EMF opened with the intent of supplying custom fabricated products for commercial and government industries, and has done that successfully since its inception. EMF has a 35,000 square foot facility on Merritt Island which includes 15,000 square feet of precision machining, therefore providing ample room for manufacturing large structures and an open area that allows for very heavy proof loading. EMF has over 90 full time employees, which includes a design engineering staff, quality assurance, quality inspection, welders, machinist, configuration control, logistical and procurement support. The EMF facility is ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100:2009 Rev. C registered/certified. Therefore, EMF's location and capabilities are ideal for supporting the aerospace industry. EMF focuses on the demands of a diverse customer and welcomes the opportunity to participate in the design and manufacturing of quality products. EMF's engineering services include additional structural design and analysis complimented by computer-aided design and manufacturing. The EMF facility operates two production shifts per day with the capability to work around the clock for emergency orders. When this is coupled with manufacturing capabilities using state-of-the-art equipment, EMF truly has all of the qualities of a turnkey operation. EMF has a vast experience in large and small precision weldments. EMF is particularly well suited to perform a variety of efforts owing to the company's past experience in producing fifteen (15) Carriage Extraction Systems over the past ten years. EMF has a vast experience in large and small precision weldments, machining (±.0005), sheet metal, painting and design capabilities. EMF's major customers are: Harris, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Coleman Aerospace, United Launch Alliance, and United Space Alliance.
