EMtek utilises collaborative and rapid design processes to combine detailed multidisciplinary engineering and specialised design drafting with strong project management. We work closely with manufacturing and construction teams throughout the design process so all aspects of the project are considered and form a part of the design from concept. We proactively challenge and question the intent of design standards, to ensure the continuous improvement of our industry and so we are always at the forefront of best practice and technology. EMtek's policy is to design in 3D from concept through to construction. This provides a visual tool to ensure the design, engineering and client teams are all aligned and focused on the final solution. Continuous design review allow for the entire team to identify areas for value improvement throughout the design process, and results in the final solution meeting the need of the client. Maintaining our designs in 3D throughout the project life-cycle allows us to transition from design to in-house shop detailing without the need for re-work. Shop detailing in-house allows us to minimise drawing deliverables, which shorten design durations and overall project cost. Combining our design processes with our project management systems allows for far greater control of the project budget and schedule. By allowing EMtek to have control over the initial project estimated costs and schedule, our design effort can be expedited to suit the needs of the client and project.
