Dignersys Consulting Berhad aims to secure new deals valued at to RM25 million this year for its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. Dignersys Chief Executive Officer Pierre Toh said the company hopes to seal 25 new contracts this year. The company plans to expand its business to the Philippines and Indonesia to meet the growing demand for second generation ERP (ERP2) solutions. Dignersys currently has 60 employees and 11 offices across Malaysia and Singapore, a significant increase from only three employees and a single office when it started in 1991. It secured a RM1 million contract yesterday from Baerlocher Asia to implement its EnterpriseBuilder solution in the German plastic additive giant's Singaporean and Malaysian units. Baerlocher Asia Managing Director Malpaso Cheng said Dignersys was among the eight companies that tendered for the ERP contract. It was selected because the team understood the process cycle of the business and its cost-effectiveness. Smidec Chairman Datuk Kalsom Abdul Rahman Kalsom, who was at the signing ceremony between Baerlocher and Dignersys, said this also makes Dignersys the first Malaysian solution provider to be awarded an ERP2 provision contract by a German multinational. Baerlocher Asia's parent company is based in Germany and is one of the leaders in the plastic additive industry. The group has 13 production sites around the world, including Malaysia, and a sales network that covers more than 40 countries. It generated a world-wide revenue of E400 million (e 1 = RM5.00) last year.
