Equality Charter School
Since 2009, Equality Charter School has provided essential academic, social, and emotional supports to middle school scholars in the Bronx; and in September 2014, we expanded our impact by opening a high school. We are proud to share all of our hard work and results with you, as well as our plans for the next phase: a high school career center, an expansion to an elementary school, and adult programming to include a community center! Though Equality continues to experience success, the statistics in the Bronx are sobering - a reported 4 year graduation rate of only 59%, where only 33% of scholars with disabilities graduate. As a school that prides itself on including all scholars (especially children with disabilities, who comprise 21% of our school population) the families in the Bronx community need and deserve a school to overcome the challenges they face. Every scholar, parent, staff member, and board member has a personal responsibility for and a part in Equality's success. As a result, we are successfully achieving dramatic improvement in academic results and have continued a solid culture of excellence to support every scholars' social development. We thank you for all of your support and invite you to continue with us on this adventure.
