East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust
East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust was created in 2002 as a result of a merger of Hastings and Rother NHS Trust, which included Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne Hospitals NHS Trust, which included Eastbourne District General Hospital. The two towns in which the hospitals are based are very different and transport links between them are poor. The trust currently employs 5,000 staff across its two sites.
