East Valley Juniors Volleyball Club

East Valley Juniors Volleyball Club, Inc. (EVJ) is celebrating its 24th season of operation as a girls' volleyball club, we will also be serving boys starting in 2013. Starting with one team in early 1990, EVJ is now the oldest club in the Arizona Region and continues to be one of the strongest and largest clubs in Arizona. Last year we fielded 21 teams and were home to over 230 girls from more than 98 different schools. Athletes from Ahwatukee-Foothills, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Phoenix, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Tempe, and more come to EVJ for the excellence of its coaching, facilities, and history. EVJ is a grass roots, community based organization that strives to provide the best overall experience for every athlete, whether a scholarship athlete or a hopeful for their school team. EVJ is proof that ELITE and GRASS ROOTS is not only possible but a winning combination! Every coach at EVJ has extensive volleyball coaching and/or playing experience and believes in the worth of each individual athlete. We train athletes from 9-18 years of age, from grades 4-12. We offer the following girls' programs: Collegiate Prep for 18's High School (Pre-Collegiate Prep) for 15-17's Middle School (High School Prep) for 13-14's Youth Development Program for 10-12's We have both traveling (includes out of state travel and competition) and training (in state travel and competition only) teams. Where Do We Practice? We will hold practices in Tempe at the Court One Facility. Practices will be scheduled Monday through Friday (mainly M/W/F) between the hours of 3:30 and 9:30pm. Days and times vary depending on the team. When Is Our Season? EVJ operates under the auspices ofUSA Volleyball (USAV) in the Arizona Region of USAV. The season runs from November 1 or late-November (depending on the age group) until the end of April or mid-May (depending on the age group) for Region play. Teams participating in Nationals or post-season tournaments may play as late as the end of June/first week of July. Tryouts for the club season 2012-13 are scheduled for November 1-2-3 for 10-14's and November 15-16-17 for 15-18's.
