Expat Group has set up a joint venture called Expat Media International (EMI) with UK based Global Indian Travelers Association (GITA) to manage their 24 year-old magazine, 'The International Indian' (TII). Established in 1992, TII is the oldest, authoritative magazine of Gulf Indian society and history. Reflecting the ethos of NRI's in the Gulf and globally, TII features thought provoking issues, highlights remarkable people in their chosen fields of endeavor, with insightful writing relevant to various aspects of life in the Indian Diaspora. a term first coined by TII, which is now used generically. Fascinating first person stories and hard hitting columns make TII a unique and interesting read. 'The International Indian' was the first to introduce 'Diaspora Journalism' in the Gulf, emphasizing "International" as a concept rich with meaning. Its feasibility has been validated by the uniqueness of its formula and proven 24 year track record. TII mirrors life in all its myriad facets of pleasure and purpose, with a passion for India and a desire to build a true community of global Indians. With its growing base of affluent subscribers in the Gulf and beyond, TII has captured the imagination of serious readers and advertisers whose loyalty has sustained TII for nearly two decades. TII is the only publication for NRIs in the Gulf, with a BPA audited circulation of 30,000 copies in UAE and GCC, with a print run bigger than any other magazine for NRIs in the region.
