About Family Savings: Family Savings Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution based in Gadsden, AL currently serving over 70,000 members in Alabama and Northwest Georgia. In 1983, the Scottsboro branch opened its doors to employees of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Inc. Since that time, the Family Savings charter has changed to include anyone that lives, works or worships in the counties of Jackson, Madison, Etowah, Calhoun, Cleburne, Cherokee, St. Clair, Blount, Marshall and DeKalb, AL. (Profits are returned to our membership by free and low-cost services such as FREE checking accounts, low-interest loans and higher-yielding investments. Member accounts are federally insured by NCUA.
